About me
My name is Pamela and I have been working as a live-in carer for more than 9 years in many different parts of England, on a long-stay basis with the majority of my clients. I am a fully qualified carer. My previous clients and their families will be very happy to supply excellent references for me. I am fluent in English, both spoken and written.
I have a clean driving license and I have been driving for more than 30 years in different countries. I am a very caring, optimistic person with a good sense of humour and I love helping people to enjoy life. I enjoy helping people to live their lives with as much independence and freedom as possible, and I try to take my clients out as often as possible for a cup of tea or coffee, or just to go for a walk or a drive or to do the shopping.
I am very experienced in supporting people with Alzheimer's Disease, dementia, arthritis, breathing problems, physical disabilities and terminal diseases. I try to encourage my clients to take part in as many activities as possible, such as food preparation or doing the shopping etc. I love creating strong relationships, not just with the client but also with their other family members. I am a very versatile and patient person, and very honest and loyal. I am a very calm person and I cope very well under pressure and when unexpected problems occur, in order to keep my clients as calm and reassuring as possible. I am very experienced in compassionately supporting clients in the final stages of life and I aim to facilitate a fulfilled final period for both the client and their family.
In my free time, I love reading, walking, listening to music and chatting with my family and friends.
