From a very young age, I took on caring of him and really enjoyed it so decided to pursue a career in care. I have worked in various settlements including residential homes and domiciliary care, however, I prefer to work as a live-in carer. I am a very experienced carer who specialises in Dementia Care. I also have experience in caring for conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, paralysis, brain injuries, mental health, challenging behaviour, Cystic Fibrosis, COPD, End of life, Palliative care, Companionship, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. I'm also confident with hoisting, Catheter care, Stoma Care and assisting with personal care needs. I am a resilient, calm and understanding carer who comes with excellent references from previous employers, and is confident in her abilities. I first entered caring by looking after my stepdad who has MS. I really enjoyed making a difference in his life and helping him with all aspects of his care. It was my goal to help him achieve his goal, and I knew from then that this was a career I wanted to pursue. My strength is the varied experience and knowledge that I have gained throughout my professional caring career.
