Back in 2008 when I had my first health care job while studying management and leadership at the strategic level it was like love at first sight! Waking up in the morning going to work was fulfilling and enjoyable, impacting and improving the wellbeing of service users was undoubtedly rewarding and service to humanity absolutely the best work of life. I have managed to work within the care industry since 2008 till date, which was a journey worthwhile.  I have attended various training lists of many. Attending a one day makaton and numicon session learning how to teach and use both methods could effectively make a difference in the lives of those with learning disabilities, Session on PMVA, restriction and de-escalation which is quite useful and important within mental health. These skills and learnings put me in the right spot to do more. In my field of work, I have a diverse experience within the healthcare industry ranging from adult care, learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, dementia, peg feeding, colostomy care, mental health and a lot more. I have managed to lead a group of care teams, managing the care routine day-in day-out, updating care plan/reviews, medication administration/audit. The job responsibilities and skill set shape my views on what needs to be done right to improve the life and safety of our service users. Although it may be challenging at times, I found the work extremely rewarding as it sparks a passion for working with people, especially after observed progress in the lives of supported individuals and commendations received from their family members.
